PROJECT STATUS

We are currently in the process of finalizing meeting and event dates, times and locations - as well as bringing awareness to the project through word of mouth and printed materials. Our goal is to launch meetings in July.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE HAVE A FINAL PLAN IN MAY 2027?

Creating a Community Greening Plan is only the first step. Once the plan is complete, our goal is to move from ideas to implementation — bringing community-supported projects to life across Francisville.

While we hope to pursue implementation funding, no future funding is guaranteed. Turning these plans into reality will require continued community support, partnerships, fundraising, and advocacy.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Support Future Grant Applications
We will continue applying for grants to fund implementation projects. If you come across funding opportunities that may be a good fit, please send them our way via email at greenfrancisville@gmail.com.

We may also reach out to residents, businesses, and community organizations for letters of support that help demonstrate neighborhood interest and need.

Make a Donation
While we will actively pursue grants to fund implementation, grant funding is competitive and never guaranteed. Donations help us bring community-supported projects to life and can strengthen future grant applications by demonstrating local investment in the vision.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps move Francisville's greening priorities closer to reality. Funds may be used to support the implementation of projects identified through the Community Greening Plan, including plantings, public space improvements, community amenities, public art, and other neighborhood enhancements that emerge from the planning process.

Sponsor a Project or Event
Local businesses and organizations can support implementation by sponsoring community events, donating supplies, providing meeting space, contributing raffle items, or offering in-kind services such as printing, landscaping, construction, design, or professional expertise.

Whether you have experience in gardening, carpentry, event planning, fundraising, graphic design, photography, grant writing, community outreach, or simply want to lend a hand, there will be opportunities to get involved as projects move forward.
